The size is suitable to cook up to 750g: 5 rice cooker cups(5 Gou*). *A Gou is a rice cooker cup, and one Gou is equivalent to 150g. The amount of water used will be 1.1 to 1.2 times the amount of rice.

The double-lid construction eliminates the risk of spillage, and with the simple step of "turn off the heat when you see steam," anyone can easily enjoy freshly cooked, delicious rice.

It can be used with either open flame or electric cooktop.

This is a well made Donabe pot. The packaging was very secured and the pot was bubble wrapped in a box within a box. I thought it was a nice touch how they wrapped it in a purple cloth and included a note. I’m so glad this pot has a water scale for easy cooking. I love cooking delish rice in it!
