This regular sized Japanese Donburi bowl features a "Shonzui" pattern, which was originally a style of porcelain from the late Ming Dynasty in China. The patterns such as geometric figures, flowers, birds, wind and moon are depicted in indigo color.

The size and shape is perfect for eating noodles such as Udon, Soba and small ramen. For ramen, it may be a little small for those who want to add a lot of toppings. Suitable for rice bowl recipes using about 1 cups (1 gou) of rice. This size could be recognized as regular size for one serving in US.
