This reversible purple and green Japanese Furoshiki features a famous illustrated scroll named "Choju-Giga" which is a caricature picture scroll depicting anthropomorphic animals and their playfulness, dating from the mid-12th to mid-13th centuries. It is designated as a Japanese national treasure.

Its free and cheerful style of drawing is known as the origin of modern comics and animations.

The fabric is made of cotton which has a reasonably firm texture and easy to use. The size is large enough to wrap large gifts or baggage and can be used as tapestry or table clothes.
