Roji Associates Mint Green Dragonfly Nambu Ironware Cast Iron Teapot

JPY ¥30,000

Elegant and creative, this Nambu ironware teapot has a beautiful dragonfly design. The mint green hue creates a refreshing atmosphere and makes a wonderful interior decoration even when placed as is. The expressive teapot is made by baking the base color and then spraying the vibrant color on top.

Dragonflies are familiar insects to the Japanese, and can be seen everywhere, not only in the countryside but also in urban parks. Dragonflies are seen as heralds of summer and autumn, and the sight of them flying over fields evokes a sense of nostalgia. In ancient times, samurai warriors used dragonflies as a symbol of strength, agility, and victory.

Nambu ironware is famous for its massive black iron, but Roji Associates' colored teapots have taken the massive texture of Nambu ironware and made it fit in with modern life, focusing on shapes and shades to create modern shades of Nambu ironware.

It has a capacity of 650ml, which is enough for a generous cup of tea. The inside of the teapot is enameled to prevent rusting even after daily casual use.

It comes with the stainless steel strainer on the inside.

The handle can be folded down.
Do not boil water as it is forbidden to use it over an open flame.

The charm of Nambu ironware is that it can be used for decades, sometimes for generations. Please use it in your daily life and enjoy the changes it undergoes over time.
