This is a Mino ware ramen bowl (regular size) with a glossy black background and a silver dragon painted on the sides and bottom.
The square spiral pattern on the top of the inside is a traditional Chinese pattern in the shape of lightning, a symbol of the wonders of the natural world. This is one of the patterns often seen in Japanese ramen bowls.
The size is perfect for regular sized Ramen. It can be used for all kinds of noodles, including Udon and Soba.

Silver Dragon!!!!
Received my Black Dragon Bowl yesterday afternoon. As I gazed upon this bowl, I was surprised at the lack of detail and artistry. A very different experience from my purchase of the whale ramen bowl. Plus, the dragon bowl was more expensive. This Dragon bowl looks very common. Not impressed.

Amazing experience definitely will continue buying products from this company. This bowl was received wrapped in Furoshiki never experienced an unboxing like this. Amazing craftsmanship on the bowl. Worth every dollar keep up the great work and cant wait to visit Japan!!
