Snow Shino Mino Ware Ramen Bowl S
This is a small Ramen bowl with a beautiful white color characteristic of Shino ware.
It is smaller than regular sized ramen bowls. For Ramen, Soba and Udon, small portion or dry noodles are recommended. The widened shape also works well as a serving bowl for appetizers, salad, and side dishes such as Sunomono(vinegared food) and Nimono(simmered food) for about 2 person.
Shino ware is a type of Mino ware that was fired in Mino (Gifu Prefecture) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603) using a white glaze. This ramen bowl is also fired with a lot of white glaze. The glazed areas are speckled and the unglazed areas have a rough texture.
