Arita Porcelain Lab Japan Autumn Old Imari Floral Patter Red Rice Bowl
This rice bowl is slender and modernly designed and goes with, not only rice, but other menus on the table. The bowl is deep so you may want to put in a single-serving of salad, or cut fruit or even some dry snacks.
The small footing at the bottom and slim shape gives this bowl a tall look and a contemporary taste. A generous amount of rice served in this bowl would offer the perfect finishing touch to a Japanese style meal.
The "Old Imari" style design, which is an arrangement of traditional auspicious patterns, makes the tableware suitable for contemporary dining scenes. The floral patterns are elegantly painted using wine red colors.
This is an item from the Arita Porcelain Lab's signature series called Japan Autumn.
In "Japan Autumn Series", beautiful Japanese autumn leaves are expressed in gold and burgundy tablewares. Each gold color is individually brushed by a craftsman to achieve a tranquil feel. Wine red, a subtle hue created by layering multiple colors, is a deep color reminiscent of autumn leaves and brings a calm elegance to the dining table.

ABOUT ARITA WARE
Arita Ware, made in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture, is the oldest porcelain production area in Japan's history. Arita porcelain is characterized by its translucent white porcelain surface, dyeing using "Gosu" (indigo pigment), and gorgeous red painting using glassy overglaze pigments (red, green, yellow, purple, and blue). The pottery is highly durable and is produced in a wide variety of styles, from fine art to daily necessities. It was exported to Europe, where it was prized as fine art and called "white gold".
Arita Ware is also a prestigious brand that is admired by ceramicists from other regions as a representative porcelain production area.
