This beautiful rectangular plate features a modern interpretation of the traditional classic patterns of old Imari.

It is made by Rinkuro Kiln from Hasami ware which is light, durable and easy-to-use.  Hasami ware is popularly used in both restaurants and homes.

This plate is a revival of a plate made 250 years ago. Peonies in full bloom against a fence are illustrated on this plate with a bird about to land on a stack of hay which was used to protect plants from the heavy snow of winter.

The authentic feel of Old Imari is created with the perfect balance of vivid colors, gold and white. The side of the plate is also decorated with elegantly painted leaves and vines. 

It is a great size to serve a single portion of sashimi or tempura. Maybe use it serve some sushi as an appetizer. You could also use it to plate a single serving of fruit or a slice of cake.
