A GIFT AS A WAY OF EXPRESSING APPRECIATION

People in Japan often give dishware as a gift to show appreciation to loved ones or someone special in our lives. This custom is not only in Japan, but probably all over the world. Meanwhile, since glass and ceramics can be shattered into many pieces, some believe that goods made of these materials bring good luck such as more happiness and lasting posterity.

When we select a piece of dishware as a gift for someone, we consider how that person may use it in his or her daily life.

The word "Musubi" used in our name Musubi Kiln means "connecting and bonding people together." We hope to help you develop stronger bonds with your loved ones.
