Description

This Japanese bowl with spout from the "Une" series is made by Taniguchi Seidojo, which has been making Kutani ware clay for three generations.

The carefully selected clay of Kutani ware, known as Hanasaka ceramic stone, is inevitably discarded during the clay making process. The silky, transparent, beautiful beige glaze was created to make the best use of this leftover clay.

Instead of using vivid colors of Kutani ware, they propose a new, simple and modern Kutani ware that can only be created by a company that knows the characteristics of clay.

The lipped bowl is versatile and is suitable for dipping sauces or grated yam. Of course, it can also be used as a regular bowl to serve a variety of foods such as salads and stews.

The gentle colors and comfortable texture bring an effortless sophistication to any table setting. Enjoy tableware that makes the most of ethical and organic materials.

White

White carries the essence of purity, cleanliness, and sophistication. White tableware's achromatic simplicity and reflective nature blend seamlessly into any setting, enhancing table design with a modern, clean charm and creating a feeling of spaciousness and light.

In Japan, shiro iro, the color white, is held in high esteem, symbolizing sanctity and divinity. This color permeates Japanese culture, from the revered white horses and deer, symbols of auspiciousness, to the soft, snow-like petals of the unohana flower praised by the poets of the Heian period (794 CE–1158 CE).
