Ginsai Style

This is a technique in which 100% pure silver leaf is applied to each piece of stoneware by hand and placed in the kiln. After the stoneware is fired, the silver leaf is polished so that it becomes smooth, and then the beautiful and transparent Kutani Gosai glass glaze is applied. This technique requires a great deal of time and skill, including more than four times of kiln firings before it is completed. It combines the transparency and beauty of Kutani colors to enhance the dining experience.

    FEATURES

    Ginsai Style

Ginsai is a technique of applying transparent or five-color glaze on top of silver foil and baking it.

The characteristic of this technique is that silver foil does not come off and does not rust. Like the Ginsai technique, the tone of the painting is soft and restrained, and an elegant atmosphere can be seen in this technique.

    About kutani ware

Kutani ware is a type of pottery produced in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture and it has a history of over 350 years.
It is characterized by the heavy brilliance of the five colors of green, yellow, red, purple, and navy blue that are applied to the bold and daring lines.
Its long history has evolved through the tireless efforts and enthusiasm of people who have sought innovation while maintaining tradition.
In the early 1700s, the Kutani kilns were closed, but about 80 years later they were opened and Kutani ware was revived.
The beauty of the various styles and methods of painting is known as "Japan Kutani" and is highly regarded around the world.

    Very beautiful vase

It was wrapped with care and delivered much faster than expected. It has a beautiful gradient between green and blue, and a very pretty layered pattern that's hard to explain without seeing it first hand. An amazing vase

    Subtle Beauty

This vase is stunning. The layers of glazes give the color depth and a natural looking beauty. The simplicity of the shape adds to the look of nature with the subtle glow of silver leaf like luminous shapes through water, very calming. I currently have it displayed in a niche in a bookcase where I can admire it up close or at a distance. I am so happy I bought this vase.
