Gingado Charcoal Gray Elliptical Takaoka Copperware Ikebana Flower Vase

JPY ¥17,900

Only 6 pieces in stock!

Enjoy ikebana, Japanese-style flower arrangement, with this artistically crafted vase from Gingado.

The surface of this vase is decorated with rings that depict round ripples that can be seen on serene surfaces of water. The charcoal gray color is created by baking acrylic paint on the aluminum surface of the vase. It creates a peaceful ambience and gives a natural texture to the sides and the basin of the vase. Create your own little garden with a pond with this vase and bring a tiny piece of Japan into your home.

This ikebana vase comes with a kenzan (metallic flower frog) to set flowers and greenery. Even for those who are new to ikebana will be able to make artistic floral arrangements by fixing blooms onto the needles of the small-sized kenzan. Just with a single bloom, this vase can become a delightful addition to a home.

Each piece is handmade using the sand casting technique where metallic bases are made by pouring hot metal into hardened sand molds. This traditional technique has been carried down in Takaoka City, the heartland of cast metal, for over 400 years. The process necessitates tremendous skill that can only be amassed through many years of experience.

This vase is packaged in a stylish black paper box stamped with the Gingado logo. Enjoy the beauty of flowers with this unique Ikebana flower vase at home or send it as a gift.

NOTE:
-Place on a leveled surface
-Handle the kenzan with care as the tips are very sharp
-Remove the kenzan from the vase before handling or transferring
-To avoid scratches, do not slide the vase on any surfaces
-After use, gently rinse with water, and wipe well with a soft cloth
-Use diluted dishwashing detergent and rinse with water to remove stains

Beautiful minimalist aesthetic

I purchased two each of this and the smaller design as gifts. They have a very serene minimalist aesthetic and are perfect for a simple ikebana design. Perfect for the beginner. It is beautiful. The package arrived very quickly and tracking was provided. While I loved that it was wrapped furoshiki style, it was all wrapped as one large package. My order contained two each of three items as gifts for two people, so I could not present it in the furoshiki wrapping. I don’t think there was an option to wrap it as two gifts.

Thank you so much for taking your time to leave a wonderful review. Yes, it is easy to do Ikebana with the vase. It can be placed everywhere since it does not take much place. Regarding furoshiki, we insert 1 furoshiki to 1 order. Unfortunately we do not have the option to wrap it as two gifts but we are noted. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. We appreciated it so much.
