The Japanese bowl features beautiful pink peony, hand-painted by Mr. Yoshinori Fukuda. A large peony is designed to fit the round bowl, with scattered petals drawn around it and on the outside of the bowl.

The fragility and strength of the flowers are vividly depicted on the glossy white porcelain, making it an eye-stopper in any table setting.

The size is suitable for serving salad, appetizers, pasta, fruits, and so on.

    Mr. Yoshinori Fukuda, a traditional craftsman, has been awarded many prizes in successive art exhibitions and is highly regarded both in Japan and abroad. He has mastered the techniques of various traditional Kutani porcelain styles such as Akae, Yoshidaya and Ko-kutani, and has a wide range of skills in the art of Kutani ware. From beautiful natural scenery to living creatures in motion, he captures them in the style of Japanese paintings with a delicate touch.     About kutani ware

    Kutani ware is a type of pottery produced in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture and it has a history of over 350 years.
    It is characterized by the heavy brilliance of the five colors of green, yellow, red, purple, and navy blue that are applied to the bold and daring lines.
    Its long history has evolved through the tireless efforts and enthusiasm of people who have sought innovation while maintaining tradition.
    In the early 1700s, the Kutani kilns were closed, but about 80 years later they were opened and Kutani ware was revived.
    The beauty of the various styles and methods of painting is known as "Japan Kutani" and is highly regarded around the world.

    I am in love with this bowl

    It’s very beautiful, and I’m already eating most of my meals out of this bowl. I really like how the glaze is raised a little.
