On this white porcelain sauce plate, lines in sometsuke "Blue and White" style form smooth and elegant curves, representing leaf veins. These lines are hand-painted by artisans, with subtle variations in thickness and shade making each unique. When using this plate, you can feel a closeness to nature.

Sometsuke is a technique that applies indigo color onto a base fired to pure white, using a pigment mainly composed of cobalt oxide called gosu. Artisans meticulously select their soil, glaze, and gosu to enhance the contrast between white and indigo.

The slightly deep shape is suitable for holding sauces, chocolates, puddings, nuts, pickles, or ice cream. The unique, leaf-inspired edge adds a simple yet striking design element. Additionally, the two lines drawn on the foot ring part elegantly enhance the side profile of the plate.

Its design is appropriate for use in any season, but especially ideal for summer, as its color scheme and texture offer a refreshing and delightful experience to the user.

Founded in 1919, "SINGAMA'' is a pottery studio located in the northeastern part of Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, in a place called Shinano. The pottery is made from high-quality Seto clay and adorned with indigo Seto Sometsuke, displaying soft and delicate patterns and a simple yet charming design. The dishes, brimming with the warmth of hand craftsmanship, add a comforting touch to everyday life. Seto Sometsuke ware is characterized by its overall pale blue color and gentle style.
