This unique fan-shaped sauce plate is made by Keizan Kiln from Arita ware.

The painting on the plates feature anthropomorphic animals from the famous caricature scroll "Choju-Giga," painted between the mid-12th and mid-13th centuries, and designated as a national treasure. 

Next to the picture, "Kozan-ji", the name of a World Heritage temple in Kyoto that owns the "Choju-Giga", is written in Chinese characters.

The plates are available in different patterns, so you can have them all together for a more enjoyable table setting.
