You can almost hear the joyful voices of women excitedly walking home.

This Japanese Furoshiki depicts happy young women walking home from a hot spring in the rain, talking to each other. It was painted by Torii Kiyonaga, an Ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period.

Please pay attention to the detail of the patterns of the kimono, as well as the expression of movement in the slightly disheveled hem.

This Furoshiki is made by a Japanese traditional weaving technique called "Chirimen", which gives it a unique texture with an uneven surface.

The chic black color with vivid yellows, reds and greens makes this piece very gorgeous as a wrapping cloth. It is a gorgeous piece to wrap a gift for your best female friend or just to decorate your room.
