JPY ¥18,000

Only 2 pieces in stock!

These Echizen Lacquerware teacup coasters are beautifully designed in a auspicious plum blossom motif and coated with lacquerware in a deep vermillion red color.

Each coaster is crafted in the shape of a plum blossom in full bloom with the five pedals carefully layered next to each other. The pedals are neatly shaped on the backside as well with all edges smooth and rounded. The curvatures of the pedals highlight the matte shine of the lacquer coat.

The vermillion color of the teacup coasters is called "Kodai-shu" which means "ancient vermillion." It has a calm blackish tone and will add a rich hue of red to the table.

These coasters have a refined and elegant look and are wonderful to use when entertaining guests. Kumi-dashi tea cups with a wider frontage work well with these teacup coasters. This set includes 5 coasters so you may use them for a gathering of up to 5 people.
