This is a set consisting of a teapot and five cups, crafted at the MIdou Kiln in Hasami ware. It is perfect for regular tea time, but it can also be used for entertaining guests.

The teapot features an elegantly rounded shape, with a similarly curved handle that fits comfortably in the hand. The overall color scheme is a bluish-white, with the seigaiha wave pattern applied to the lid.

The small teacups are petite enough to be concealed within the palm. They have a thin, slightly curved rim for a pleasant mouthfeel. A distinctive feature of these cups is the seigaiha wave pattern that adorns both the inside and outside surfaces.

The seigaiha pattern symbolizes good fortune, with its spreading ripples representing the expansion of good relationships. The depiction of Mount Fuji, spreading from the peak to the base, is also said to symbolize expanding connections, and when combined with the seigaiha pattern, it signifies that the teapot set as a whole represents auspiciousness.
