Ginto Suruga Bamboo Basketry Tea Coaster Set

JPY ¥92,100

Only 5 pieces in stock!

This delicately crafted bamboo coaster set makes an excellent addition to any tea set. Utilizing a technique exclusive to Suruga Bamboo Basketry, the intricate designs and rounded shape are achieved through the assembly of slender, circular bamboo strips rather than traditional weaving.

Adorning the surface of each coaster is hanamutsume, a delicate hexagonal flower design, which is unique to bamboo artistry. A herringbone-like design can also be seen on the bottom of the coaster. Rich brown tones make this coaster set suitable for any season, especially fall and winter.

The interweaving lattice design on the exterior of the coaster casts enchanting shadows under light. By pairing it with a glass cup, the shadow is further enhanced, making it a delight to share with guests.

Please wipe dust and dirt with a soft brush and a squeezed dish towel. Do not wash it in water or hot water. Use in a dry, well-ventilated place to enhance the natural luster unique to bamboo.
