This beautiful sake cup is decorated with Sakura pattern, handcrafted by an artisan of Kutani ware, Mr. Yoshinori Fukuda, who specializes in golden decoration known as "Kinrande"(literally "gold brocade").
Sakura is painted with delicate brush strokes, and gold is applied in a thick painting which gives it a beautiful accent. The inner rim is also decorated with delicate gold patterns, and the painted cherry blossom on the bottom looks as if they have flown down into the water when sake is poured.
Sakura/Cherry Blossom symbolizes “ inner beauty”, “elegance” and “good education”. It comes in an original wooden box which makes it a perfect gift for your loved one or as a gift for yourself.
The smooth texture of porcelain feels relaxing and soft to your mouth, bringing out the rich yet delicate taste of Sake.
This piece of art will bring your home bar an authentic Japanese atmosphere.
