Ihoshiro Kiln Acorn Mino Ware Chopstick Rest

JPY ¥1,600

Only 4 pieces in stock!

Chopstick rest in the shape of a bamboo-leaf oak acorn. The bamboo-leaf oak is found in Japan, China, and parts of the Korean peninsula.

It is characterized by six to eight horizontal stripes on the cap of the acorn, which can be seen on this chopstick rest.

The shiny, rounded shape of the chopstick rest is very adorable just like the real one. It would especially be a great addition to an autumn table setting or as a chopstick rest for children.

The chopstick rests are made at the Ihoshiro Kiln in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture. Their craftsmen make chopstick rests one by one, not using mass production or machining methods.

In Japan, chopstick rests are an indispensable piece for table setting. Although it is a small tableware, you can express your personality by choosing a motif that suits the season or a festive event.

I recommend this product

Love the packaging too.

These little acorns are so thoughtfully crafted. The glossy smooth shell contrasts beautifully with the acorn. And it was wrapped so beautifully which is perfect, because it's a gift.
