The vase features a prestigious pale yellow-green shade, reminiscent of Ming Dynasty (1368 CE - 1644 CE) gold-decorated porcelain. It elegantly displays chrysanthemum flowers, with blades of grass in soft gold leaf adding a subtle contrast against the moegi “yellow-green” shade. Its curved surface showcases a gradation of the shades of the underglaze, flowing from the slim rim to the light-reflecting curve of the body.

Yoshita Minori, a master of Japanese porcelain art, symbolizes the fusion of tradition and artistic mastery. Hailing from Kanazawa, a region steeped in cultural history and formerly known as Kaga in Edo Period (1603 CE - 1868 CE), Yoshita's works echo the artistic legacy of the Maeda noble family, patrons of the arts. His creations, marked by intricate gold leaf and nuanced color usage, reflect the yugen principle of Japanese fantastical beauty, and the elegance of historical royal attire.

Yoshita's contributions to porcelain art have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2001 and the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, in 2006.

Chrysanthemum flowers are elegantly depicted, blooming without excessive flair. Surrounding these flowers, blades of grass are lightly scattered, rendered in a softer shade of gold leaf. This creates a subtle contrast between the delicate leaves and the subdued, elegant shine of the Chrysanthemum petals, all set against the noble moegi background.

The slender elegance of the vase is known as the crane-neck design. Its curved surface enhances its visual appeal, inviting viewers to appreciate the changing gradient of the underglaze shade. This gradient flows from the vase's slim, towering rim down to its gently curved, light-reflecting main body. Towards the base, shadows overlay, adding depth and complexity. The overall design of the vase achieves a harmonious balance of shades and forms, reminiscent of a musical rhythm.
