This is a porcelain two-tiered box adorned with circular patterns in red and gold. The design is not only suitable for festive occasions such as New Year's but is also practical for everyday use. The box comes with a lid, allowing for convenient storage in the refrigerator, and it's also microwave-safe, so you can heat it directly. Given its modest size, it's ideally suited for two people.

You can pack it with food for lunch, fill it with snacks or appetizers for party scenes, or even use it for desserts during afternoon tea. As it is easy to clean, it's very convenient for various uses.

The design is a compilation of auspicious symbols including pine, bamboo, plum, crane, blue sea waves, thunder, peony, and longevity motifs, all drawn within the circular patterns. The combination of pine, bamboo, and plum, often referred to as the "Three Friends of Winter," represents an auspicious pattern for celebratory occasions. The pine, known as a tree where gods dwell, is evergreen and has a long lifespan, the bamboo remains green and unbroken even amidst the winter cold, and the plum blooms fragrant flowers even in the snow. The crane is a symbol of longevity, the blue sea waves represent prosperity and continuous good fortune. The thunder pattern and the peony signify warding off evil, and the longevity motif is another auspicious pattern used for celebratory occasions.

ABOUT ARITA WARE

Arita Ware, made in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture, is the oldest porcelain production area in Japan's history. Arita porcelain is characterized by its translucent white porcelain surface, dyeing using "Gosu" (indigo pigment), and gorgeous red painting using glassy overglaze pigments (red, green, yellow, purple, and blue). The pottery is highly durable and is produced in a wide variety of styles, from fine art to daily necessities. It was exported to Europe, where it was prized as fine art and called "white gold".

Arita Ware is also a prestigious brand that is admired by ceramicists from other regions as a representative porcelain production area.
