Description

This soba choko cup showcases the finest craftsmanship as well as its unique design, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate the intricate beauty of Edo Kiriko. The Arii sisters of "Style Y2 International," a young female designer unit, designed this product.

It can be used not only as a soba choko cup, but also as a rocks glass, or to hold yogurt or ice cream. It can also be used as an interior decoration item, such as a candle holder or a small container.

The lid can also be used as a small plate or coaster. You can use it in any way you like, and enjoy it in your own way.

All of the patterns in this series are modernized by arranging traditional Edo Kiriko cutting patterns.

The checkered pattern is known as "Ichimatsu." The design consists of squares and rectangles arranged in a simple grid pattern. It is known as a lucky pattern with the meanings of "eternity," "development," and "prosperity" due to its uninterrupted and infinite image.

Since a skilled Edo Kiriko glass craftsman does the cutting all by himself, it can be said that only a few pieces can be made in a day, making it a highly rare gem.

Sparkling in any light, it is designed with facets all around its circumference and on its underside. When placed near a window or beneath an illuminated lamp, it emits a glorious gleam that never fails to enchant.

This series is all made in red because red has a congratulatory meaning in Japan. Also, they come in a paulownia wood box, making them ideal for gift-giving.
