This Tokoname ware teapot has a deep, gradual green color with a painting of blue Sakura flowers.
While retaining the natural atmosphere of clay, the polished and smooth texture, and the minimalistic form cultivated through a long tradition, conveys an elegant atmosphere. The lids of Tokoname teapots are known for their tight fit and airtightness, which allows the tea to slowly draw out its flavor.
A fine mesh strainer made of stainless steel, called a "band strainer," is built into the body of the teapot. It is less likely to clog and pours out tea most quickly, allowing tea leaves to float more freely than cup strainers and brewing more fragrant tea. You can enjoy a quick cup of tea with rich flavor while you are busy with housework or work.
With its size and the fine mesh strainer, this teapot is suitable for any tea types. Fukamushicha(deeply steamed tea), Hojicha(roasted tea), and Genmaicha(brown rice tea) are especially recommended.

Artisanat
