This plate is one of the six in the "Art Styles of the Past" series. It showcases the unique design of Kutani ware in the Eiraku style.
The Eiraku style is renowned for its "akae-kinrande," which has a gold design with a red background. It is a gorgeous, sophisticated, and graceful style of Kutani ware. Eiraku style was born from the beautiful fusion of fine red painting of the earlier Iidaya Akae style with the elegant and sophisticated style of Kyo ware.
In the central circular frame, flying phoenixes and detailed plants are depicted in blue, and they are surrounded by paintings of dragons in gold. Both are imaginary creatures with various meanings, with the phoenix indicating resurrection and rebirth, and the dragon indicating the highest level of good fortune in feng shui.
The plate comes with a stand, allowing it to be displayed on a shelf or table. It is also suitable for use at special occasions.
Packaged in a wooden box, this plate makes an ideal gift for those who appreciate traditional crafts and interior décor.
