Please read the following terms and conditions before applying.

1. Overview of the Campaign

This campaign allows eligible customers to receive a refund for customs duties and customs clearance fees paid upon receiving their order.

2. Eligibility

You are eligible if all of the following conditions apply:

• You placed an order at MUSUBI KILN for personal use (not for business or resale).
• Your order was shipped from Japan to an address outside of Japan.
• You paid customs duties or clearance fees upon delivery.
• You must submit a refund request application within 30 days of the date of customs duty payment using the designated application form provided below.

3. Fees Eligible for Refund

The following fees are eligible for refund:

• Customs Duties issued by the customs authorities
• Customs Clearance Fees issued by the delivery carrier

The following fees are NOT eligible:

• VAT or local consumption taxes
• Storage fees, re-delivery charges, or delay-related fees
• Bank or payment processing fees
• Any taxes or fees related to business or commercial import

4. Refund Methods & Currency

Refunds will be calculated based on the actual amount of customs duties or clearance fees paid by the customer, converted into Japanese yen. The currency conversion will be calculated using the rate published by Google Finance at 1:00 AM UTC on the application date.

You may choose one of the following refund methods:

• Refund to the original payment method
• A MUSUBI KILN Gift Card (valid for 12 months from the date of issue)
  *Customers who choose the gift card option will receive a +10% bonus credit in addition to the applicable refund amount.

5. Refund Processing & Notices

We typically begin processing refunds within 3 business days of your application.

Please note: actual refund timing depends on the processing schedule of your bank. For this reason, MUSUBI KILN is unable to guarantee the timing of actual receipt of the refund.

If the refund is made via bank transfer, recipient bank fees or intermediary bank fees are the responsibility of the customer and may be deducted from the refund amount.

If your documents are incomplete or unclear, we may ask for re-submission.

6. Required Documents

Please submit the following:

• Refund application form
• Receipt or other proof of payment of customs duty and/or customs clearance fee

7. Other Terms

This campaign applies to international orders placed on or before June 30, 2025.

• Only one application is allowed per order.
• We reserve the right to determine the eligibility of refund requests based on submitted documents and circumstances.
• MUSUBI KILN may modify, pause, or terminate this campaign without prior notice. Updated terms will become effective upon posting on this page or our official website.
