Tokusa
The straight-growing tokusa (horsetail plant) inspires fine vertical lines. Long associated with wishes for growth and prosperity, this auspicious pattern has been cherished for generations.

Indigo and Red Chrysanthemum
Deep, composed indigo—applied in traditional gosu pigment—meets a striking, richly toned red. The interplay of these two colors creates a vivid yet balanced impression.

Red Line Arabesque
An expansive arabesque scroll flows dynamically across the entire surface. Delicate red lines layered with gosu brushwork create depth and movement within the design.

Baizan-Ofen

Der Baizan-Brennofen, der älteste noch existierende Brennofen in Tobe, Präfektur Ehime, Japan, wird für seine Kreationen mit einfachen, aber dynamischen Pinselstrichen und einer robusten, widerstandsfähigen Form geschätzt. Die warmweißen Porzellanstücke sind mit tiefem Indigo und farbenfrohen Mustern verziert, und ihre dicken, massiven Formen vermitteln ein Gefühl schlichter, unverfälschter Schönheit. 1976 wurde der Baizan-Brennofen vom Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Handel und Industrie offiziell als traditioneller Handwerksbetrieb anerkannt.

Dann Ware

Tobe-Porzellan wird in der Region Tobe der Präfektur Ehime im Nordwesten der Insel Shikoku hergestellt. Das weiße Porzellan mit seinem schönen, leicht bläulichen Farbton, der durch den Eisengehalt entsteht, wird nach wie vor sehr geschätzt und geliebt. Tobe-Porzellan bewahrt auch inmitten der Modernisierung seinen hohen Respekt vor traditionellen Handwerkstechniken.
