Shino 志野

Shino is a Mino ware style noted for a thick, creamy-white glaze made almost entirely of feldspar. Developed in the Momoyama period, it is regarded as Japan's first white-glazed pottery, and is known for soft white surfaces that can show reddish scorch marks and fine crackle.
