Shippo 七宝
七 seven · 宝 treasures
Shippo (seven treasures) is a pattern of identical circles overlapping by quarters to form an endless interlocking lattice. Because the linked circles (en, also meaning 'connection') spread without end, it symbolizes harmony, completeness, and the bonds between people. The name refers to the seven treasures of Buddhist scripture.
The overlapping circles create an elegant interplay of diamond and petal-like shapes across the surface. The pattern appears as a continuous, repeating motif where each circle connects to the next in an unbroken sequence.
