This wooden pestle is designed to be used with a mortar and is available in two sizes. The shorter size is ideal for small mortar bowls and for preparing condiments, while the longer size works well for firmly grinding sesame seeds or nuts in larger mortars.
Made of Japanese magnolia wood with a bright, beautiful grain, this pestle offers a light, natural grip. The edges are softly rounded and shaped for easy handling, comfortable on your hands even when applying force and reducing fatigue when used for longer periods of time.
The MUSUBI KILN's logo is subtly engraved on the top of the pestle, adding a quiet sense of specialness and affection to it as a tool. When not in use, it can be hung by the attached cord for convenient, space-saving storage.
