Brown Water Plant Mug

This stoneware mug from Musashi Kiln features the elegant motif of water plants accented with splashes of brown. This motif is a hallmark of Yashichida Oribe ware, characterized by its green glaze and abstract brushstrokes. 

Its rounded shape offers ample capacity and a comfortable thickness. The surface features a harmonious blend of an earthy texture and natural hues. The glossy, translucent green glaze imparts a rich and bold appearance.

Inspired by the natural world, Tsujii Musashi imbues his creations with a subtle, rustic beauty. The rokurome, or potter's wheel marks, give a rhythmic texture to the sides of the mug.

Musashi-Ofen

Tsujii Musashi hat sich auf die Herstellung von Mino-Ware spezialisiert und gründete 2006 in Mizunami, Präfektur Gifu, den Musashi Kiln. Neben der Herstellung seiner einzigartigen Keramik beschäftigt er sich auch mit landwirtschaftlichen Tätigkeiten und lässt sich für seine Designs von der Natur inspirieren. Elemente wie Weizen und Wasserpflanzen fließen in seine Muster ein. Das von ihm kreierte Geschirr vermittelt sowohl optisch als auch in der Textur ein natürliches und angenehmes Gefühl.

Mino Ware

Mino-Ware, die in der Region Tono in der Präfektur Gifu hergestellt wird, ist in der japanischen Töpferei für ihr reiches Erbe und ihre Vielseitigkeit bekannt. Sie umfasst über fünfzehn verschiedene Stile und ist damit vielfältiger als viele andere japanische Keramiken. 

Mittlerweile macht Mino-Keramik über 50 Prozent der japanischen Keramikproduktion aus und ist unübertroffen beliebt. Mino-Keramik wurde 1978 als traditionelles Handwerk anerkannt und spiegelt eine Mischung aus historischer Tiefe und moderner Relevanz wider – ein Beispiel für außergewöhnliche Handwerkskunst.
