Die Korbflechterei mit Suruga-Bambus ist ein traditionelles japanisches Handwerk mit einer über 400-jährigen Tradition, das seinen Ursprung in der Nähe der Stadt Shizuoka in der Präfektur Shizuoka hat. Die 1976 als nationales traditionelles Handwerk anerkannte Kunst ist legendenumwoben und geht auf die Suche eines Hofadligen nach eleganten Körben zurück.
