Sakura Tea Serving Tray

This is a Japanese tray decorated with cherry blossom motifs and made of Akita cherry bark work by Yatsuyanagi. The glossy brown cherry bark has a moist texture and a beautiful shine.

It is just the right size to place a tea set on, giving it a cohesive and beautiful look.
It is also ideal as an interior tray, for example, under a vase of flowers, a photo frame, or a fruit stand.

After use, it can be washed with water using a soft sponge. Wipe off water with a dry cloth.

The cherry bark is carefully peeled off from the trunk and left to dry in the shade for a year or two to remove the moisture. Kabazaiku-Kirschrindenarbeit

Kabazaiku ist ein Kunsthandwerk, das in der Präfektur Akita im Norden Japans aus der Rinde von Yamazakura, oder „Japanische Bergkirsche“. Der faszinierende seiden- oder metallartige Glanz, der der Kirschbaumrinde eigen ist, kombiniert mit ihrer tiefen Farbe, wird zur Herstellung von Stücken von unvergleichlicher Schönheit verwendet.
