Bamboo Spatula

This lightweight cooking spatula is made from susudake—bamboo that has been smoked to enhance its strength and durability. The handle fits comfortably in the hand, allowing for a natural angle when stir-frying or mixing. It is gentle on cookware surfaces and safe for use with nonstick or Teflon-coated pans. All of these features make it ideal for everyday cooking.

A slotted version is also available. The round hole at the center helps ease resistance, allowing soups and sauces to be stirred smoothly and effortlessly. It also introduces air as you mix, helping to prevent ingredients from sticking—making it an excellent choice for stir-frying.

La empresa perpetúa la profunda conexión de la región con este material tradicional mediante técnicas ancestrales, con el objetivo de consolidar a Oita como una empresa líder en la industria del bambú en Japón.

Utilizando únicamente bambú de origen local, Nanpu Kougei crea artículos funcionales como cajas bento y bandejas coladoras, cada una de ellas tejida cuidadosamente a mano para adaptarse al uso diario.

Designada como Artesanía Tradicional de Japón en 1979, incluye ocho técnicas fundamentales de tejido. Combinando estos métodos, se pueden crear más de 200 patrones diferentes.

Originaria de Beppu, prefectura de Oita, esta artesanía refleja un legado de meticulosa artesanía.
