Akari’s Winter Donburi Recipe: Burrata Donburi
Von Team MUSUBI
Hasegawa Akari, a Japanese home-cooking expert and a familiar face on social media, shares with us once again a delicious donburi recipe. As a rising star in everyday cooking, she captivates fans with her fresh ideas and inventive approach to making meals both “more delicious and more effortless.”
In this feature, she introduces her Burrata Donburi, a recipe that beautifully blends different culinary sensibilities. Easy to prepare and visually appealing, it’s a dish that brings a touch of elegance to the dining table.
Hasegawa first discovered burrata cheese about ten years ago while living in the United States. Filled with fresh cream, burrata creates a rich, risotto-like texture when paired with hot rice. “Cook the rice slightly firm,” she says, “so it pairs nicely with saucy toppings. This dish also goes wonderfully with a light white wine.”
Along with the basic Burrata Donburi recipe, she also shares two creative variations to suit different dishes or moods.
