This Japanese sake cup features happy motifs such as a lucky cat, a daruma, and a chidori, which are said to bring good luck in Japan.
The smooth rim provides a delicate texture of Sake to the mouth. It is a perfect sake cup for celebrating occasions, such as New Year's Day, birthday, and moving party.
Each piece is painted with Japanese color paint, which is one of the remarkable features of Kutani ware, making the texture of the cup warm and appealing.

Mokubei Style
Approximately 80 years after the decline of the Ko-Kutani, the Kasugayama kiln was founded in Kanazawa(Kaga Han). Aoki Mokubei introduced the Mokubei style. The figures, generally drawn in the five Kutani colors, are suspended on a red base layer. This overglaze is Chinese style.
