Kutani Hanazume

In Hanazume (filled with flowers), the various flowers are drawn and covering the entire surface of the piece, which undergoes the first firing, then the flowers are outlined with gold paint before the final firing.
The technique was said to be introduced by Shiro Mizuta in Kanazawa City during the Taishio period. The combination of colorful flowers and elegant gold leaf creates a gorgeous piece.
