Tokusa Mino Ware Donburi Bowl S

This small-sized donburi bowl features the traditional Japanese tokusa “horsetail” pattern with vertical stripes in dark blue and earthy brown. The rich, rusty hue of the brown, due to its high iron content, gives the bowl a warm, inviting finish.
Beloved since the Edo period (1603 CE–1868 CE), this pattern of straight vertical lines is inspired by the Japanese plant tokusa. It is regarded as a symbol of growth and prosperity since it grows unwaveringly upwards.
The bowl is perfect for a variety of donburi dishes, such as gyudon, oyakodon, and other menus like salads, cereal, and fruit.
Mino ware boasts a remarkable variety of styles and is celebrated for its rich traditional heritage, while also excelling in the production of contemporary pottery. It is widely distributed in Japan, yet retains a very high quality, which makes it a wonderful choice for daily use.
