Ishizuka Glass is a long-established company with a history of over 200 years. It began producing glassware using traditional vidro-style techniques in Gifu Prefecture in 1819. In 1927, it became the first company in Japan to successfully mass-produce clear glass using a tank furnace—an innovation that significantly contributed to the modernization of the Japanese glass industry.
