These Wakasa lacquer chopsticks feature the beautiful combination of natural wood and acrylic urethane. It is accented with glittering abalone shells. The shell decoration is one of the traditional techniques of Wakasa lacquerware, a traditional craft of Obama City, Fukui Prefecture that has been around since the early Edo period.
Red is 21cm/8.2in and black is 23cm/9in. Please choose the one you prefer according to your hand size.
Although it is made of natural wood and lacquer, it can be washed in a dishwasher and is easy to clean.
It is available in pink and blue, each in a different size, so please choose the one that best suits your hand size. It is easy to hold and has a non-slip surface so it is easy to pick up food. It is recommended for everyday use and also as a gift.
They are made by Ishida, which has been making Wakasa lacquerware for more than eighty years. Wakasa lacquerware is a traditional craft of Obama, Fukui Prefecture that has been around since the early Edo period (1603 CE–1868 CE).
