These Wakasa lacquer chopsticks are a wonderful combination of natural wood, traditional lacquer, and protective acrylic urethane. They feature a delicately carved pattern of fireworks, expressing a beautiful summer night. Thin gold lines also add a nice accent.
The chopsticks come in two colors, black or red, each in a different size. Please choose the one that best fits your hand size. Recommended for everyday use or as a gift.
These chopsticks are made by Ishida, which has been making Wakasa lacquer for over 80 years. Wakasa lacquerware is a traditional craft of Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, which has been around since the early Edo period (1603 CE–1868 CE).
