This Chawanmushi(Japanese steamed egg custard) bowl has a simple and modern design which looks great on any table. If you make Chawanmushi with it, it will give you the authentic taste and atmosphere of a Japanese restaurant. When the lid is removed, it can also be used as a teacup.

The "Tokusa" series by the Hasami ware company Fukuhou Kiln was first produced in 1976. Since then, it has become a long seller as a standard item. The "Tokusa" is a pattern of vertical stripes, which has been used as a pattern for tablewares since ancient times and is a familiar pattern in Japan.
