This is a lacquered Donburi bowl with a cloth pattern design.
The color of the lacquer underneath is visible in some places, and the patterns are different one by one.

It is especially suitable for noodles such as Udon and Soba. It may be too small for ramen.

The shallow shape makes it ideal not only for noodles but also for rice bowls such as Katsudon (pork cutlet bowl), Gyudon (beef bowl), Oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl), Kaisendon (seafood bowl), etc. It is suitable for rice bowls using about 1 cup of rice. This size is recognized as a regular size for one person in the US.

Available in 2 colors: black and red.

Its timeless traditional design is suitable for long-term use, daily use or when entertaining guests.

Yamanaka lacquerware is produced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and has a history of about 400 years.
The traditional techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware were highly evaluated and became known throughout Japan, despite a period of temporary interruption.
It is characterized by the use of wood grain patterns to express a natural texture, and is made with great attention to detail.
It was designated as a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry in 1975.
