This is versatile plate designed at Arita Porcelain Lab. It can be used for individual servings, or a serving plate for a dinner for two or even for dessert. The design is the traditional "Old Imari" floral pattern and is given a modern remake with a combination of gold and yellow gold.

This is an item from the Arita Porcelain Lab's signature series called Japan Autumn.

In "Japan Autumn Series", beautiful Japanese autumn leaves are expressed in gold or burgundy tablewares. Each gold color is individually brushed by a craftsman to achieve a tranquil feel. Burgundy, a subtle hue created by layering multiple colors, is a deep color reminiscent of autumn leaves and brings a calm elegance to the dining table.

ABOUT ARITA WARE

Arita Ware, made in the town of Arita in Saga Prefecture, is the oldest porcelain production area in Japan's history. Arita porcelain is characterized by its translucent white porcelain surface, dyeing using "Gosu" (indigo pigment), and gorgeous red painting using glassy overglaze pigments (red, green, yellow, purple, and blue). The pottery is highly durable and is produced in a wide variety of styles, from fine art to daily necessities. It was exported to Europe, where it was prized as fine art and called "white gold".

Arita Ware is also a prestigious brand that is admired by ceramicists from other regions as a representative porcelain production area.
