I only received these pieces a couple days ago but am thrilled. (I ordered a dinner wear piece too to go with this). I am an elder living quietly on a fixed income, so it might seem extravagant to make a purchase like this, why not just use a piece of plastic, but I did so because of the beauty and subtlety. There is tenderness in the color of this glass -- a blush like the palest petal of a rose. And I love the shape and size of the carafe and two cups. I am so grateful to still be alive when there are wars going on, and serious problems everywhere. I do with less now but try to make even the simplest meal or a thirst-quenching drink of cool water more of a grateful intentional ritual than merely a fast-food maintenance thing. Thank you company MUSUBI KILN and thank you artisans of HIROTA for helping me live with beauty and dignity and in joy. I hope that it is not upsetting, but I use these morning, noon and night, just for cool water, not even for sake. Thank you and blessings.
