Wind's Path Sauce Plate

Utsutsu Kiln

Utsutsu Kiln was opened in 2000 by Ms. Kakoku Inazumi, a female ceramic artist. She uses the techniques of Kutani ware as a base for her work, but she does not limit herself to the techniques and materials of the local area, but uses her ingenuity to create works with her own unique texture. Her delicate touch, gorgeous colors, and patterns based on the theme of dreams and fantasy show her warm personality and free spirit. 

Kutani ware is a pottery produced in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture and it has a history of over 350 years. It is characterized by the heavy brilliance of the five colors of green, yellow, red, purple, and navy blue that are applied to the bold and daring lines. Its long history has evolved through the tireless efforts and enthusiasm of people who have sought innovation while maintaining tradition.
