Each metal has a different luster, workability, strength, thermal conductivity, heat retention, moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., and techniques to utilize these characteristics have developed in various regions. From daily necessities such as pots, kettles, and accessories to works of art that represent the times such as tea ceremony utensils, Japanese swords, and Buddhist bells, a wide variety of metalwork has been produced in each era.

Gold Maple Leaf Chopstick Rest

This is a really lovely item. I just got back to may home after an exquisite trip to Japan and my souvenir chopsticks will look wonderful on these rests.

Just what I was looking for

It's a lovely and dainty design with just the right size. Perfect for both Japanese(thin and tapered) and Chinese(thick and round tipped) chopsticks. One thing I would like to point out is that it's flatter than I expected, which means it doesn't create the best angle to lay rest or to pick up the chopsticks, in my experience.
