JAPANESE ZELKOVA ROUND SHAPED YAMANAKA LACQUERWARE TRAY 11.9IN
¥26,000

Japanese Zelkova Round Shaped Yamanaka Lacquerware Tray 11.9in

JPY ¥26,000

This round tray of zelkova by Yamanaka Lacquerware is made by hollowing out a single piece of wood without any joints.

It is thick and solid, and will become an eye-catching item just by placing it on the table.

It is the right size to hold one-plate meal, and can also be set with tea or sake utensils to create a cohesive and beautiful looking.

The lacquer is applied in a "Fuki-Urushi" (wiped lacquer) finish, in which the lacquer is applied and wiped repeatedly to make the best use of the grain of the wood. The luster and transparency of the lacquer accentuates the dynamic grain of the zelkova wood.

Its traditional design is suitable for long-term use, daily use or when entertaining guests.
