This small bowl is designed with a "Tokusa" pattern drawn by hand with a broom-like brush to make the thin blue lines centering to the middle of the bowl. The undulating sides give the kobachi bowl extra shine and a beautiful shape.

The kobachi bowl is small bowl for a single serving of an appetizer or salad. You can use it to plate some pickled vegetables when eating a Japanese style meal with two or three persons.

"Tokusa" series by the Hasami ware company Fukuhou Kiln was first produced in 1976. Since then, it has become a long selling standard item. The "Tokusa" is a pattern of stripes which has been used as a pattern for tableware since ancient times and is a familiar pattern in Japan.

The "Tokusa" series has a variety of items for the dining table, such as plates in different sizes, rice bowls, teacups, and Sake cups. We hope you will enjoy setting your table with matching items from the "Tokusa" series.
